We have been involved with St. Baldrick's for 5 years. This is my son's 5th year shaving and my husband's 4th year. Once you know a child with cancer you can never be free from wanting to help. We had to do something... This year was another successful year for Cubberley (our school where the fundraiser was held). Our sweet friend Kayleigh was the honoree and spokesperson for this event. She did great! We were featured on ABC news and in our newspaper.

Leslie, what an awesome thing for them to do! I read a post this morning about a guy who has leukemia. His wife threw him a party to shave his head. All of his fiends were there and decided that the would shave their own heads to show him their support. There ended up being around 10 guys (and several young boys) with bald heads! I am sure it made him feel great to know how much his friends love him. Kudos to you for teaching your children about what it means to support such a great cause! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
I have seen several posts like this...so moving. What a selfless act. Awesome.
And ours Moms are similar. My kids love when she comes to visit...Shopping is a given!
