making an Easter card for Cesar's mom
On Saturday we gave a party to a women's shelter. We served lunch, provided crafts, colored eggs, taught about the meaning of Easter and had an egg hunt. "We" are a small group of people who gather for Bible study on Tuesday nights. "We" have become good friends. "We" have been blessed for caring about others. We gave a party at Christmastime, also. We donated gift cards for the mother's to buy their children their own presents. This was an honor to be a part of. My heart has grown, for the situation that the mothers and their children are in. I wish we could solve all of their problems. We have only made a tiny dent in their lives. At least, they know that we care and that they deserve better.
These pictures are from that day. One is of my son and me, I wanted to make sure I could be in one so I could post it for this. The other picture is of my friend, Cesar, who was at the shelter in December and is still there. He is bright and eager to learn, so we went on our own and read and talked. He knows Jesus loves him.
