52 Weeks is a year long challenge for YOU to be in a picture once a week for 52 weeks. We are always the ones behind the camera, this is YOUR chance to get out in front and be in the pictures with your family. I love this challenge because I will have, at least, 52 pictures of me with my kids, all from one year!
Myself, my husband and my mother-in-law. We went out to dinner with all the kids and both grandmas, so it was picture-taking-time! We love being together so when everyone can be at the same place at the same time we jump on it. Sounds silly and simple, but that's all it takes!Thursday, April 30, 2009

52 Week Challenge 6/52
making an Easter card for Cesar's mom
On Saturday we gave a party to a women's shelter. We served lunch, provided crafts, colored eggs, taught about the meaning of Easter and had an egg hunt. "We" are a small group of people who gather for Bible study on Tuesday nights. "We" have become good friends. "We" have been blessed for caring about others. We gave a party at Christmastime, also. We donated gift cards for the mother's to buy their children their own presents. This was an honor to be a part of. My heart has grown, for the situation that the mothers and their children are in. I wish we could solve all of their problems. We have only made a tiny dent in their lives. At least, they know that we care and that they deserve better.
These pictures are from that day. One is of my son and me, I wanted to make sure I could be in one so I could post it for this. The other picture is of my friend, Cesar, who was at the shelter in December and is still there. He is bright and eager to learn, so we went on our own and read and talked. He knows Jesus loves him.

Not Me! Mondays
First of all, I have never posted a "Not Me Monday." But... this time I really can. I, did not put my son's cell phone in the toaster oven to dry because he was pushed into the pool with his cell phone in his pocket. I, did not think it would dry faster and not melt. And, I did not melt it beyond recognition. I, did not call my neighbor, named Flo, Betty from across the street in my loudest voice. And, I, did not eat 16 Snickers bite-sized candies just because they were there. This has been a hard week for me :( Not really.....:) just being a dumbo!
