52 Week Challenge 10/52

52 Weeks is a year long challenge for YOU to be in a picture once a week for 52 weeks. We are always the ones behind the camera, this is YOUR chance to get out in front and be in the pictures with your family. I love this challenge because I will have, at least, 52 pictures of me with my kids, all from one year!

This is not a flattering picture, but it was a great moment. We were making s'mores and since I am the "S'mores Queen" the kids were being nice to me and trying to get me to roast their marshmallows to the golden brown perfection that I am known for getting:). They pulled me down onto their laps and were giving me extra love. I soaked it up and then delivered the said "perfect marshmallows". Hey, everyone has to be good at something.

Favorite Things Friday- Couldn't Wait 'til Friday

We love camping and fishing. There is almost nothing better than camping and fishing. We love the time we spend without any interruptions. We simply depend on what we bring with us and each other.

Brady is a trooper. She doesn't love to fish as long as the rest of us, but she does great, especially if she catches something.

Jake was a fine fisherman on this trip. He caught the first fish and the first fish big enough to keep. He was quite proud of his "beautiful casts". Dad is awfully happy with Jacob's enthusiasm for fishing. We all got up at 5:30 AM to go fishing. We were the first ones there. Boy, was Daddy happy!

I love these yellow wildflowers that lined the highway on our way up. But, I really want to show off my kids' "mad skills" in fashion! I don't think they have left out any color of the rainbow. They aren't always this free- spirited, camping trips always bring out these inhibitions :)

I have definitely converted my husband into a dessert fiend. And, s'mores are a GREAT dessert!

What a great Father's Day weekend! We've got the best daddy and step-dad (Rob & Taylor in Sun Valley with their dad, also enjoying some fishing. Happy Father's Day, Whit)!!

I have three sons. My oldest is 24. My daughter is 10. That means I waited about 19 years to have a ballerina dancer to call my own!! My boys are wonderful. They are each so special and perfect just the way they are each and every day. My daughter is also wonderful. She is all girl. Those of you with girls know that brings with it special challenges (:0) and special gifts. I love having boys and a girl. We have done soooo many sports that dance was a welcome addition to all of us. My daughter was well worth the wait!

My daughter has practiced all year-long for this recital. It is always so much fun! It is beautiful and so well done. We love the dance studio and her teachers. Great job, Baby Doll!

Grandma Tammy and Grandpa missed the Final Laker/ Orlando game to come to Long Beach for Brady's recital. They went to games 2 and 3 and then flew from Orlando to Long Beach just for our girl!! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!

Favorite Things Friday-California Sunshine?

Where is the sun? We have had 21 days straight of gray days :( We always have "May Gray" and "June Gloom", but the sun almost always broke through the clouds in the afternoon. Not this year, at least not yet. The temperature has hovered around 70 or 71 degrees. My kids and their friends are still going swimming, eating summer fruit and enjoying "no school" days. So why complain, right? Good question. I will stop and just enjoy the California clouds :)
