Everybody should laugh this hard! We'd all be so much happier. My daughter and her friend were laughing just because I wanted to take a picture of them. I guess it was really funny:).

52 Week Challenge 5/52
52 Weeks is a year long challenge for YOU to be in a picture once a week for 52 weeks. We are always the ones behind the camera, this is YOUR chance to get out in front and be in the pictures with our family. We are gald you are joining this challenge. More importantly your family will really enjoy having you in the picture. Thanks for playing along! Oh, you can just jump in now with 1 of 52, you're not getting off that easy! Now go take a picture!
These children are not actually my birth kids, but I do claim them. They are a few of my wonderful students. They are ambitious, talented and intelligent 2nd graders. I am the queen in my classroom and I truly feel blessed. The tiara is not real, but I feel it is there off and on throughout the day:)!

We just took this picture on St. Patrick's Day. We ate regular colored food, but had green desserts. We ate green icing covered cookies and mint chip ice cream. What a great excuse to have desserts!!! This is my baby girl. She looks Irish and I look Italian (I think).

Favorite Things Friday-My caring kids & Scrapbooking with Coffee
Jacob has a test today in math. It is on area and circumference of a circle using II (3.14). He had to figure out the radius or the diameter with the given numbers. I explained it to Jake and he was still frustrated. Brad said we should call Robbie, so we did. Rob got off work at about 8PM (after working 12 hours). He was at our house by 8:15. About and hour and 15 minutes later, Jake was the king mathematician! He had a handle on it. Robbie even made up a few quizzes for Jake to take before Rob left. Robbie is amazing at math. He is working for an auditing firm in their tax department. Four people have been laid off in his department, but not Rob! We know that after tax season anything could happen, but Robbie is worth his weight in gold. This is a great job and he is doing very well, but they are lucky to have him (no bias from his mother :)!)
Robbie called this morning, on his way to work, to see how Jake felt. He wanted to know if Jake felt ready for the test. Jake was very confident and really wanted to do well. We'll see how well, later today. Stay tuned...
What my favorite thing of all of this is the unselfish way Robbie has been. He helped Jacob and he truly wanted him to do well so Jacob would feel good about himself. Robbie shows his love in many ways, but this is one of my favorites! Thanks Robbie, I love you and I'm so proud of you!
I love to scrapbook. It is therapuetic for me. I like the organization of it, I like the creativity value and I love to record our memories! A great time for me is to grab a cup of coffee with vanilla creamer and a small squirt of whipped cream, be in comfortable clothes, have the tv set turned toward my area in the family room and scrapbook while my children are at school. This perfect combination only occurs when there is a full moon so I have to take advantage of it when I can:)!

52 Week Challenge 3/52
Our, truly, happy place has always been Disneyland or the beach. This year we did not renew our passes to Disneyland. We have not been there since November 08, when this pic was taken. We all definitely miss it. Maybe soon?
An early in the morning field trip for my daughter's class. We walked to the nearby high school and saw the musical "Annie". Brady's friend, Samantha, is in the middle.
I love this kind of "time in the classroom" volunteering. It is a way to observe Brady among her friends. I get a good feel for how she feels about herself. I can see what kinds of kids she hangs out with at school (they could be different than the ones who come over to play). I also see how the othe kids are doing. It sort of gives you a "heads up" to what is next to come-like if they are starting to like boys/girls. She is our only girl and it's scary to think of her not being strong and smart when it comes to boys. I'm happy to say that we still have time to guide her. There are boys she thinks are cute, but she knows we dont want her to date until she is 35, so she is going to wait, for now!
This is an old family picture from a visit in Las Vegas. We do have a big family. May 2003
I need to have pictures that are current for this challenge. So, my goal for next week is to be in a new picture. One that is taken between today and next Thursday.

Favorite Things Friday- St. Baldrick's Cancer Fundraiser
My husband and my son are participating in a very worthy cause. They are trying to raise money for research of childhood cancer. This picture is from March 2008 and it is of our friend, his daughter (who has battled a rare form of thigh muscle cancer) my husband and my youngest son. The other pictures are from the same event. One, of course, is a "before" and one is an "after." Thank yo for taking the time to read about this.
(My husband's email note to our friends and family)
Jake and I are participating in St. Baldrick’s, for the third year. This is a great opportunity for you to show your support to help fight childhood cancer. We will be shaving our heads Sunday March 15th so time is running out. Please go to the website www.StBaldricks.org click on “find a participant” then type in Brad Davison or Jacob Davison any amount donated will greatly be appreciated. We are trying to raise $200.00 each. Thanks in advance for your support.
